monoclonal antibody
13311 genes including 7352 human genes have monoclonal antibodies.

If you are looking for monoclonal antibodies against a specific gene, please type in gene name in the box above and hit the search button. In the resultant gene webpage, select 'antibody' link for the correct gene to go to the antibody webpage, and use the 'monoclonal' filter there to obtain a list of monoclonal antibodies for that gene.

Monoclonal antibody is a type of immunoglobuin proteins derived from descendent cells of a single immune cell and is against a specific epitope. Production of monoclonal antibody tends to be more expensive than the other major type, polyclonal antibody. In ExactAntigen product database, significant numbers of genes from human, mouse, rat, chicken, dog, cow, and yeast have monoclonal antibodies. The majority of monoclonal antibodies are derived from mice, rabbits, and rats. Only a small percentage of genes have monoclonal antibodies with phospo-specific affinity. A small number of genes have conjugated monoclonal antibodies. A majority of genes have monoclonal antibodies which are suitable for western blot, and other applications.

monoclonal antibody host species
The majority of monoclonal antibodies are derived from mice, rabbits, and rats. A small number of genes have monoclonal antibodies derived from human, hamsters, and guinea pigs. One surprising thing is that rabbits have taken over as the second most common host species for monoclonal antibodies.

mouse host monoclonal antibody. In ExactAntigen product database, 12013 genes have monoclonal antibodies derived from mice, including 7169 human genes, 2207 mouse genes, 1909 rat genes, 233 chicken genes, 210 dog genes, and small numbers of genes for many different species.

rabbit host monoclonal antibody. In ExactAntigen product database, 1762 genes have monoclonal antibodies derived from rabbits, including 877 human genes, 478 mouse genes, and 400 rat genes.

rat host monoclonal antibody. In ExactAntigen product database, 1604 genes have monoclonal antibodies derived from rats, including 866 mouse genes, 594 human genes, and 103 rat genes.

monoclonal phospho antibody
phospo antibody. In ExactAntigen product database, 537 genes have phospho-specific monoclonal antibodies, including 249 human genes, 150 mouse genes, and 120 rat genes. Monoclonal antibodies against phospho-specific epitopes are derived from three species. Phospho-specific monoclonal antibodies from 353 genes are derived from rabbits, 299 are derived from mice, and 19 of them are derived from rats. A majority of antibodies against phosph-specific epitopes are not directly conjugated, 25 of genes have phospho-specific, AF488-conjugated monoclonal antibodies, 15 of them have phospho-specific, AF647-conjugated monoclonal antibodies, and 10 of them have phospho-specific, biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibodies.
monoclonal antibody conjugation
conjugated antibody. In ExactAntigen product database, the majority of genes (13290) do not have conjugated monoclonal antibodies. PE is the most common conjugate, for 897 genes, 883 genes have biotin-conjusted monoclonal antibodies, 866 have FITC-conjugated monoclonal antibodies, 400 have APC-conjugated monoclonal antibodies, followed by AF647(349 genes), AF488 (296 genes), HRP (99 genes), and about 20 in total. Among the genes with conjugated monoclonal antibodies, 810 of them are human genes, 381 are mouse genes, 126 are rat genes, and a small number of genes are from a dozen other species. The majority of genes (1113) with conjugated monoclonal antibodies are the antibodies derived from mice, 402 of them from rats, 75 from hamsters, and 46 from rabbits.
monoclonal antibody application
In ExactAntigen product database, the majority of genes (11582) have monoclonal antibodies suitable for western blot, 9288 genes have monoclonal antibodies suitable for ELISA, 6650 for immunocytochemistry, 5891 for immunoprecipitation, 5551 for immunohistochemistry, 2498 for flow cytometry, 847 for FACS. In addition, 478 genes have monoclonal antibodies which have blocking or neutralization activity, and 21 genes have monoclonal antibodies possessing activation capability.
