The CCKA receptor mediates gallbladder contraction, gastric emptying, relaxation of the sphincter of Oddi, and insulin secretion. It is also inolved in pancreatic growth, enzyme secretion, and tumorigenesis. Cholecystokinin A receptor has been reported in brain, colon, gall bladder, gastrointestinal tract, kidney, pancreas, small intestine, spinal cord, and stomach. ESTs have been isolated from mouse kidney and heart libraries. |
