request information:
Catalog Code:NB600-554
Product Name:Thrombospondin Antibody
Product Description:Mouse Monoclonal anti-Thrombospondin (A4.1)
Clone:A4.1
Clonality:Monoclonal
ListPrice:315
Concentration:0.2 mg/ml
Immunogen:Calcium-replete, native purified human TSP from the supernatant of thrombin activated platelets.
Epitope:N-terminal half of the central stalk-like region of TSP 1 which is recovered as a 50 kDa fragment after chymotryptic digestion of TSP.
Specificity:It shows no cross-reaction with fibronectin, fibrinogen or Von Willebrand factor.
Cross Reactivity:Cross-reacts with Human, Rat, Mouse, Cow and Chicken. Not yet tested in other species.
Packaging:0.5 ml Affinity purified Mouse ascites.
Uses:This antibody can be used in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescnece, and Western Blot. By Western blot, this antibody detects a band of ~ 450 kDa, which corresponds to the predicted molecular weight of Thrombospondin. This antibody blocks anti-angiogenic activity of TSP 1 by inhibiting its binding to TSP Receptor / CD36. This antibody inhibits the adhesion of human melanoma G361 cells, keratinocytes, squamous carcinoma cells, and rat smooth muscle cells to TSP 1. It does not inhibit aggregation of thrombin-induced platelets. *Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end user.
Localization:Cell Membrane
Background:Thrombospondin is a protein from platelet a-granules. It is made up of three identical subunits bound by interchain disulfides. It is secreted at sites of platelet activation and aggregation and is involved in the processes of chemotaxis, adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of leukocytes, fibroblasts, smooth muscle and endothelial cells.
Storage:Store at 4C. Do not freeze.
Purity:Affinity purified
Isotype:IgM
Host Name:Mouse
Buffer:10mM PBS [pH7.4] with 0.2%BSA
Application Summary:flow cytometry / FACS analysis , immunofluorescence , Western Blot 1-2ug/ml
Species Summary:Bv, Ch, Hu, Mu, Rt,
Alternate Names:Anti-THBS 1 antibody; Anti-THBS antibody; Anti-THBS1 antibody; Anti-Thrombospondin 1 antibody; Anti-Tsp 1 antibody; Anti-TSP antibody; Anti-Tsp1 antibody
