| Product Name: | PYK 2 Phosphospecific Antibody |
| Product Description: | Rabbit Polyclonal anti-PYK 2 [Tyr881] |
| Clonality: | Polyclonal |
| ListPrice: | 325 |
| Immunogen: | Synthetic peptide (Human) derived from the region of human Pyk 2 that contains tyrosine 881. |
| Specificity: | Some cross-reactivity with Focal Adhesion Kinase phosphorylated at tyrosine 925 (the corresponding Grb 2 binding site) may be observed in cases where Focal Adhesion Kinase is overexpressed relative to PYK 2 in the same cell system. |
| Cross Reactivity: | Cross-reacts with Chicken and Human.Expected to cross-react with Mouse (86% identity with immunogen), Rat (86% identity with immunogen) due to sequence homology. Not yet tested in other species. |
| Packaging: | 0.05 ml Immunogen affinity purified Rabbit IgG. |
| Uses: | IHC: Use at an assay dependant dilution. WB: Use at a concentration of 0.5 - 1.0 ug/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 116 kDa. Not tested in other applications.Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. |
| Localization: | Cytoplasmic |
| Background: | Proline-rich/Ca2+ -activated tyrosine kinase (PYK 2) is a member of the Focal Adhesion Kinase family of non-receptor, proline-rich PTK's. PYK 2 signaling is initiated by a variety of extracellular stimuli including integrin ligation, CD surface marker ligation (e.g., CD3, CD28, TCR, VCAM), bioactive peptides, growth factors, cytokines, chemokines, and certain stress stimuli. PYK 2 is involved in the regulation of vesicular transport, osteoclastic bone resorption, modulation of ion channels, T- and B-cell receptor signaling and cell death. pTyr881 is the potential binding site of Grb 2. |
