| Background: | This antibody is one of a series of well characterized murine antibodies detecting blood group specificities of the ABH and Lewis systems. BG1 (Blood Group Antigen Precursor)is a Type 1 chain precursor. The precursor molecule is the backbone structure for synthesis of other blood-group-related antigens. Increased expression of blood-group precursor antigens occurs in epithelial tumors, teratocarcinoma and renal-cell carcinoma. |
