| Immunogen: | This antibody was developed against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 971-983 ([BLAST]ALETQSKNGPVPV[/BLAST]) of human EPHA3; Genbank accession no. AAA58633.1. This peptide sequence is reported by NCBI to be 100% conserved between human, rat, and mouse EPHA3. |
| CrossReactivity: | Cross-reacts with Human. Expected to cross-react with Mouse (100% identity with immunogen) and Rat (100% identity with immunogen) due to sequence homology. Not yet tested in other species. |
| Packaging: | 0.1 ml Whole Rabbit antisera. |
| Uses: | ELISA |
| Localization: | Type I membrane protein (isoform 1). Secreted (isoform 2). |
| Background: | . EPHA3 (EPA receptor A3), also known as ETK, HEK, ETK1, HEK4, TYRO4, is belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors have been implicated in mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system (reviewed in 1,2). Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. The ephrin receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. EPHA3 binds ephrin-A ligands. |
