It can be used to stain the mitochondria in human cell or tissue preparations and can be used as a mitochondrial-marker in subcellular fractions. It also detects the organelles within mitochondria; characteristic ('spaghetti'-like) mitochchondrial staining pattern is observed in the cytoplasm of normal and malignant human cells. |
