Isotype:IgG
Product Description:Goat Polyclonal anti-SOX1
Cross Reactivity:Human, Mouse
Species Summary:Hu, Mu
Background:This intronless gene encodes a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. In mice, a similar protein regulates the gamma-crystallin genes and is essential for lens development. [provided by RefSeq]
Alternate Names:anti-SRY (sex determining region Y)-box 1 antibody, anti-SRY-related HMG-box gene 1 antibody
Immunogen:Peptide with sequence C-AHPHNPQPMHR, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_005977.2.
Epitope:C-AHPHNPQPMHR
Purity:Immunogen affinity purified
Buffer:Tris-saline [pH7.3] with 0.5% BSA
Preservative:0.02% sodium azide
Packaging:0.1 mg Immunogen affinity purified Goat antisera.
Package Size:0.1 mg
Concentration:0.5 mg/ml
Uses:Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64,000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 26kDa band in lysates of cell line KELLY after 0.3ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 39.0kDa according to NP_005977.2. The 26kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?
Application Summary:ELISA 1:64000, Western Blot 0.3ug/ml,
Storage:Aliquot and store at -20C or -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
