| Background: | ADARA1A (Alpha-1-adrenergic receptors (alpha-1-ARs)) was first cloned by Schwinn DA et al., (PMID:1970822) from the bovine brain. There are three subfamily in this group: alpha-1A, alpha-1B, and alpha-1D, and ADARA1A has four transcript form form different splice in the C-trminal. All of them play a very important role in mitogenic responses activation and cell growth and proliferation regulation in many cells. Tissue distribution of mRNAs showed that these variants express in the human heart, liver, cerebellum and cerebrum. |
