| Uses: | Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA assay. The purified BVD3-1F9 has been tested by blocking fluorochrome conjugated BVD3-1F9 for intracellular cytokine staining. Immunohistochemistry-frozen/paraffin. In order to obtain complete blocking results, a saturated amount of purified antibody ( le 5.0 ug/million cells) should be used for incubation with target cells, prior to staining with fluorochrome conjugated antibody. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. |
| Background: | IL-3 is a highly species-specific pleiotropic factor produced primarily by activated T cells though also by mast cells, keratinocytes, and astrocytes, which stimulates colony formation of megakaryocytes, neutrophils, and macrophages from bone marrow cultures. The BVD3-1F9 antibody can neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant IL-3. |
