Uses:Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is: 1.0 microgram per million cells in 100 microliter volume or 100 microliter of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Background:DcR2 (decoy receptor 2), also known as TRAIL-R4, TRUNDD, and CD264, is 386 amino acids in length and a member of the TNF receptor family. Although this receptor binds to the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL, it contains a truncated death domain and functions as an inhibitory receptor. When overexpressed, the DcR2 receptor can protect cells against TRAIL-mediated cytotoxicity. The DcR2 receptor is expressed in a variety of normal human tissues, but is absent in most tumors. Ultraviolet radiation has been shown to upregulate DcR2 expression on human keratinocytes.
