| ProductName: | TRAF2 Antibody |
| Product Description: | Rabbit Polyclonal anti-TRAF2 |
| Clonality: | Polyclonal |
| Immunogen: | Synthetic peptide corresponding to human TRAF2. |
| Specificity: | NB100-66360 recognises tumour necrosis factor (TNF) receptor associated factor 2 (TRAF2). This is a 52 kDa protein which binds directly to TNF receptors and other TRAF proteins, transducing apoptotic and stress response signal cascades through adaptors including inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs). TRAF2 can also bind TNF receptors by forming a heterodimeric complex with TRAF1. Additionally TRAF2 forms a stronger, indirect, association with TNF receptors by forming a complex with apoptotic signal transducer (Tumour necrosis factor receptor associated death domain). |
| CrossReactivity: | Human. Not yet tested in other species. |
| Packaging: | 0.1 mg of affinity chromatography Purified IgG |
| Uses: | This antibody is useful for Western Blot |
| Localization: | Cytoplasmic |
| Background: | The induction of the various cellular responses mediated by tumor necrosis factor is initiated by its interaction with the TNFR1 and TNFR2 cell surface receptors. TRAF2 interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of TNFR2. TRAF2 is a common signal transducer for TNFR2 and CD40 that mediates activation of NF kappa B. |
