Immunogen:CTLL cells transfected with mouse CD123.
Specificity:NB100-63384 recognises murine CD123, which is the 70kD alpha chain of the interleukin-3 receptor (IL-3R). CD123 is expressed on haematopoietic progenitors and most myeloid cells including basophils and mast cells. Certain mouse strains including A/J, AKR/J and NZB/B1NJ are reported to have low levels of CD123 expression due to aberrant splicing of the IL-3R alpha subunit gene.In mouse, CD123 can associate with either the common beta subunit CDw131 or with the murine IL-3 beta subunit to form a high affinity receptor for IL-3. IL-3 can bind to CD123 itself but with low affinity. Binding of IL-3 to the IL-3 receptor complex induces the proliferation and differentiation of haematopoietic cells.Clone 5B11 does not block the binding of IL-3 to the high affinity IL-3 receptor.
