| Product Description: | Mouse Monoclonal anti-GUANYLATE CYCLASE BETA 1 (GC11) |
| Clone: | GC11 |
| Clonality: | Monoclonal |
| Immunogen: | Recombinant human soluble guanylate cyclase á1ß1 heterodimer. |
| Specificity: | NB100-63164 detects the beta1 subunit of guanylate cyclase, a heterodimeric protein consisting of an alpha subunit and a beta subunit linked by disulphide bonds. Guanylate cyclase functions as the main receptor for nitric oxide, whereupon it catalyzes the conversion of GTP to the second messenger cGMP. cGMP mediates the vasodilator capacity of NO, and is important in modulating other vascular functions, including cellular proliferation, apoptosis, migration and extracellular matrix production. Guanylate cyclase beta1 has recently been shown to be upregulated in mononuclear cells from patients with erectile dysfunction. |
