| ProductName: | HdmX Antibody |
| Product Description: | Rabbit Polyclonal anti-HdmX |
| Clonality: | Polyclonal |
| Immunogen: | A synthetic peptide which maps to a region surrounding phosphorylated Ser 403 of human ortholog of mouse double minute 4 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry O15151 (GeneID 4194). |
| Specificity: | NB 100-580 is specific for human HdmX/MDM3 protein. |
| CrossReactivity: | Human. Other species not tested. |
| Packaging: | 0.1 ml Rabbit antisera. |
| Uses: | Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Prepare working dilution immediately before use. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows. Western Blot: 1:1,000 - 1:3,000. Detection of endogenous phospho HdmX/MDM4 will likely require immunoprecipitation of HdmX/MDM4 prior to blotting. Affinity purified rabbit anti-HdmX/MDM4 antibody NB 100-556 is recommended for IP.Immunoprecipitation: not testedHisto/Cytochemistry: not tested*In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated. |
| Background: | The human MDM4 gene, which plays a role in apoptosis, encodes a 490-amino acid protein containing a RING finger domain and a putative nuclear localization signal. The MDM4 putative nuclear localization signal, which all Mdm proteins contain, is located in the C-terminal region of the protein. The mRNA is expressed at a high level in thymus and at lower levels in all other tissues tested. MDM4 protein produced by in vitro translation interacts with p53 via a binding domain located in the N-terminal region of the MDM4 protein. MDM4 shows significant structural similarity to p53-binding protein MDM2 |
| Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. |
