| Immunogen: | His-tagged hRAD51B, overexpressed in E. coli. |
| Specificity: | NB 100-176 is specific for Rad51B. |
| Cross Reactivity: | NB 100-176 recognizes human Rad51B. Does not work in mouse. Other species have not been tested. NB 100-176 does not cross-react with Rad51C, Rad51D, Rad51, XRCC2, or XRCC3 in Western analysis. |
| Packaging: | 0.1 ml Ascites Mouse ascites. |
| Uses: | By Western blot, this antibody recognizes a band at ~ 38 kDa. Immunoprecipitation (-) |
| Background: | Five human RAD51 homologues have been identified: XRCC2, XRCC3, RAD51B, RAD51C, and RAD51D. Each of these homologues interacts with one or more of the others, with all of the proteins involved in one complex or multiple smaller complexes. Rad51B plays a role in meiotic recombination and/or recombinational repair. |
| Storage: | Aliquot and store at -20C or -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. |
| Purity: | Ascites |
| Host Name: | Mouse |
| Application Summary: | Western Blot |
| Species Summary: | Hu, Mu(-) |
| Alternate Names: | anti-R51H2 antibody, anti-RAD51 like protein 1 antibody |
| Package Size: | 0.1 ml |
| Preservative: | Sodium Azide |
| Notes Main: | NB 100-176 is unable to detect endogenous protein of HeLa cell extracts. However, immunoprecipitates of the paralog complex from HeLa cell extracts provide a specific signal in Western blot. The IP's are done using either polyclonal anti-Rad51C, anti-Rad51B or anti-XRCC2. |
