| CatalogCode: | NB100-1481 |
| ProductName: | FLVCR Antibody |
| Product Description: | Goat Polyclonal anti-FLVCR |
| Clonality: | Polyclonal |
| Immunogen: | Synthetic peptide C-KTVMLSKQSESAI, representing the C-Terminus of the human protein (residues 543-555) according to NP_054772. |
| CrossReactivity: | Predicted to react with Human, Cat and Chimpanzee due to sequence homology. Not yet tested in other species. |
| Packaging: | 0.1 mg Immunogen affinity purified Goat antisera. |
| Uses: | This antibody can be used for ELISA and Western Blot. In Western Blot, experiments gave bands at approx 55kDa and 28kDa in Human Bone Marrow lysate after 0.3 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the much stronger 28kDa band we observe given the calculated size of 59.9kDa according to NP_054772. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any protein of the additional band). Not tested in other applications.Recommended Starting Dilution:*ELISA (peptide): 1:128,000WB: 0.3 ug/ml *Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end user. |
| Background: | FLVCR is responsible for exporting cytoplasmic heme. It may be required to protect developing erythroid cells from heme toxicity. It causes suceptibility to FeLV-C in vitro. |
