Goat Polyclonal anti-Anillin | Novus Biologicals antibody product information
CatalogCode:NB100-1314
ProductName:Anillin Antibody
Product Description:Goat Polyclonal anti-Anillin
Clonality:Polyclonal
Immunogen:Synthetic peptide with sequence WQPDACYKPIGKP,1113-1125 representing the C Terminus of the human protein sequence according to NP_061155.2
CrossReactivity:Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse
Packaging:0.1 mg Immunogen affinity purified Goat antisera.
Uses:Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:4,000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 25kDa and 20+22kDa in Human Brain lysates and no signals in Mouse Brain lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 124kDa according to NP_061155.2. The detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands). We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?
Background:Anillin is an actin-binding protein that can bind septins and is a component of the cytokinetic ring. Anillin is expressed ubiquitously but with variable levels of expression, being highest in the central nervous system. Anillin is overexpressed in diverse common human tumors, but not simply as a consequence of being a proliferation marker. Anillin may have potential as a novel biomarker.
Storage:Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze thaw cycles.
Purity:Immunogen affinity purified
Isotype:IgG
Host_Name:Goat
Buffer:Tris saline containing [pH7.3] with 0.5% BSA
