These antibodies are affinity purified using their peptide immunogen and are known to give low background staining in a western blot. However no additional claims are made for their ability to recognise native protein in any application. Fbxl10 (PCCX2) encodes a nuclear protein carrying a PHD finger, a CXXC domain, and an acidic region. The CXXC domain was found to be sufficient for binding to DNA. The acidic region exhibits a high transactivation ability, but the full-length protein was inactive due to regions which inhibited the acidic region, including the C-terminal region. PCCX1 is activated by proteolytic cleavage, which removes the C-terminal inhibitory region. |
